For your Information India's GDP is 3 trillion USD compare to Mexico 1 trillion USD. Taking into account GDP of EU India ranks 5th in GDP higher than any indivisual European nation where as Mexico ranks 13th. This is as per CIA worldfactbook. So where did you get the number

The reason India comes in 4th with the PPP adjustment in the world is because the ruppee is undervalued and Indians have a purchasing power that is 4 times smaller than Mexicans. So, to humor you and use your method of calculation, the Per Capita GDP (PPP) Of India is $3,344 in 2006 and Mexico's is $12,886. "Where are all the Mexican doctores, computer scientists, economists and professors?" you ask. The answer is: They are IN MEXICO making huge salaries, when the Indian ones have to come here because their salaries in India don't give them enough money to eat. Why aren't all the construction workers and lawn workers in the U.S. Indian? Because they cannot affor the airfare. The Mexicans just walk accross the border. Any you know what? All those Indian Professors at Harvard etc are teaching class to all those rich Mexican kids. Get your facts straight before you confront me and make fun of my MBA (which I got in the U.S. incidentally, not Mexico, but if I had wanted I could have gotten a top 20 MBA back home). what is this analogy none sense..... u'r a disgrace to eb2...... date porting is codified in the law..... no one can change it but congress....... the problem with congress is that it cannot agree with anything related to immigration...... let's say they decide to do just one thing, just one....... do u truly believe that anybody other than u on this planet would care to stop porting of eligible applicants to eb2?...... pls keep me posted if you send out any communication to anyone for stopping porting.... becoz i'll send double the number of emails and letters to keep porting in place.....

I respectfully disagree. It has nothing to do with marketing, fraud desi companies put up free ads on sulekha, its the mindset of a large number of our audience we are missing and need to account for. maybe it has to do with jugaad.
Of course many of these expectations cannot be satisfied in a honest non profit.
A dinner for a family costs $50 easily.
A movie for a family costs $50.
The mindset is incepted deep inside and it is extremely difficult to change.

Anyway, you are mixing two different issues. The Nepali guy came to the US on diversity grounds (no matter what his education is). US law promotes diversity, meaning faces from all over the world. Family and Employment are other two categories. In EB category, of course, higher education stands higher priority. Family and Diversity are diffrent categories with criteria.

Im really not sure if this helps EB3 cases. for example in my case i have a bachelors degree + 10 years expereince and stuck in EB3. I dont think this will help me because I dont have an US degree.

Accordingly, if the employer withdraws the approved Form I-140 on or after the date that the Form I-485 has been pending 180 days, the approved Form I-140 shall remain valid under the provisions of �106(c) of AC21. I changed my job twice using AC-21 informed USCIS once, I don't see any risk itz a law, as long as you are able to produce paperwork that your current job is similar to previous one you are safe, any decent employer would give you a supporting letter (oh ya exluding blood sucking desi pimps).
I find many guys calcluate too much and let go good opportunities, get real guys no one is behind you if you have job and not done anything wrong,
I really don't care when I get my GC as long as they renew my EAD ( I am on my foruth EAD)

No need to inform INS. I know most of us little concerned to use AC21 for better job and salary but i never heard of anyone (atleast from my circle ) denied GC for changing job.
I encourage everybody who come across good opportunity to go for it. Keep same job description ( atleast on paper).

I got the e-mail saying that they have mailed my 485 approval notice on August 4 - but nothing after that - will the notice come to me at home or will it go to the lawyer - also how long before the card production e-mail gets here - not that I am in a tearing hurry - I have waited several years so what is another month ?

Is there premium for I485?
I am not a lawyer but as far as I know there is no Premium for 485. They mentioned they will want to do it at some point in the future but it is not yet available for this application.

I am pretty sure you have investigated all options, but don't give up hope and most of all don't get beaten down. Keep the sprits up. A happy heart and mind can cure what medicines cannot.

Regarding my family, something is working out in Sweden and probably all of us will move there permanently in 1-2 months. We have some relatives living there.
