How can contributing $1000.00 to immigration voice solves this problem? You are telling like a swami's in India, give me money I will do some pooja on your behalf and all your problems will be solved.
The money is not for me or for the Immigration Voice but for the lobbying to make the uscis or the government understand how the employment based GC system is outdated, and how the people who came to usa with an American Dream are being played by the rules not for days or weeks or months but for years and years. And procrastinating their American Dream because of the limitations they have during the GC process.
Active participation or contribution of 10 or 20 or 100 people wont be any effective unless and untill we all do it collectively.

You and some EB2 members on this forum seems to be suggesting that they are getting GCs faster because they did some outstanding effort in terms of IV advocacy effort. Would you mind sharing some evidence in case you have some ?

I myself will not support for skill Bill in current form. Too much H1b numbers will not only create a problem for US citizens it will also for current H1bs as well future H1bs. That 20% automatic adjustment and exemption for Cap for MS persons will increase supply and it will be tough to find a job if too many people are in the market. There are abundant jobs in India. Let people wait in India for 1 or 2 years to come here. Sustained immigration without increasing unemployment is better for US as well as potential immigrants. Otherwise Hate will increase. It may be easy to talk Capitalism and fittest will survive. When those people talking will be unemployed for more than 6 months with kids in the family will realise the truth. In the Forum most of the people are young and they did not face any issue other than Green card.
But speed with which Corporations and Lawyers are working the Skill bill be passed in current form soon. We will wait and see after 3 years after increasing H1B. Both and spouse and I received my receipts for our I-485, I-140, EAD, AP 09/19/07. On 09/24/07 we received fingerprint notice and on 09/27/07 we received our EAD card. I am quite surprise by how fast it came. Here are my details :

I can more than understand what you are going through right now. I was diagnosed with cancer ten months after coming to the US. I am also the principal applicant and of course it was terrifying. I have no idea what your prognosis is or the type of cancer and do not need to know. However, I live in Indiana and the doctors here managed to save Lance Armstrong. He was sent here from Texas. I am now a six year survivor.
I am now undergoing tests for a possible second cancer diagnosis seven years later and still no green card for my family. Hoping for one for my husband in the New Year. My son aged out and is on a student visa. I live each day realizing this is not a dress rehearsal and have to believe everything will be OK and I have absolutely no control over what the future holds.
I know only too well how shell shocked you are right now but you have to have faith that things will work out how they are meant to. Adversity can have a silver lining.
Wishing you all the best in your treatment plan. You need to concentrate on your health right now.

Filed two EAD renewals to TSC: one on 07/06/08, another on 07/14/08.
Both included only the documents required by the filing instruction, nothing besides.
The first one was accepted, ND 8 Jul, the second returned with a request for a copy of I-485.
Added and re-sent again- no receipt yet.

While we keep hearing the rhetoric about "H1B-only ads" by anti-immigrant groups, there is absolutely no news about thousands of "US Citizens only" or "US citizen or GC onl"y ads that we see every day.
While I understand there is a genuine case of 'Citizens Only' when it comes to jobs that involve national security, 98% of the job ads have nothing to do with national security and or government clearance. Most of these are clear and simple violations of Equal Employment Opportunity law, and hence illegal.
Since no one seems to be interested in reporting on this pervasive violation of law and illegal behavior, I have decided to start this thread to report on this highly-prevalent form of discrimination. I invite other members to post similar Job-ad E-mails on this thread (or open other threads) to highlight this issue. This will enable us to post the links whenever someone brings-up the issue of H1b-only Ads next trime. It might also enable members to report to EEOC in large numbers and/or shame the recruiters/employers from posting such blatantly discriminatory job ads.

kg318... from your initial post you indicated that you "demanded" money back and noted that Company A's practice was "against the law". Now, they are using the same law against you. Not saying it is fair or pretty. Just remember, what you sow, you shall reap.
It is generally poor practice to go for gung-ho activism in a situation where you are unclear about the law (e.g., non compete) and unable to get good counsel (e.g. immigration and business law attorneys).
Just keep this in mind. Long term, your peace of mind is worth more than $4K ... just think if there are other ways in which you could have handled this.... in case such event pop up again.
If I were you, I would have a civil conversation with that company. Tell them that economics took over empathy, that you wish to be in a position where you have less financial loss and would appreciate an amicable parting of ways.
It's a small world out there. Dont pi*s on anyone, lest it come back to wet your backside!
Sabre rattling might get you out of this one, but the world still remains a small place!

I AM going to face them, confront them, demand them to provide justice, if not I want them to REFUND every penny i have paid so far. If this "I AM" becomes "WE", half the battle won.
