If I am lucky enough I can make upto 70-80years of my age maximum, considering my age now, I might live another 30-35yrs. Just imagine what life we want, I completely agree what points you mentioned below. But you are forgetting the insidents we read in news media every day. I almost find atleast one incident where people are killed just for money........what if our fate is not good, and we encounter such situation???

If anyone's I140 is pending at NSC, they thinks otherwise. You will feel other lanes are fast except one which you are. :D it's humane nature and It's ok to vent. you will feel better.;)
But the whole process of sending to NSC and then transferring it to TSC is ridiculous..just waste of resources and time. Althought, they have realized the mistake and now allowing for direct filing.

It is indeed ugly and disgusting that anyone who talks of doing good to EB3 ends up getting reds. IV should remember that EB3 members outnumber EB2's by a vast margin and they deserve to get justice too
And it is not as if EB3's are less qualified. Most are as much or more qualified and experienced than EB2's. It is just an accident they are in EB3, as companies put them there when there was no difference in USCIS policy between the two
If I continue to see the treatment meted out to EB3's in these forums I would take the decision to quit IV..

Well said!. It is simply a sign of immaturity that some people will just complain but are not willing to do the work , not willing to understand the issue and not willing to understaing the constraints.
If any changes need to be made it upto the individuals to take the intiatives.
DO NOT post such baseless allegations.
IV core is very much aware of the problems as we ourselves face them, and working within our limited means and time. If you are interested, join us and give your helping hand.

I am driving from Los Angeles to Bay Area on Friday (13th) evening to join the protest. I can accomodate 3 people to join the protest. You will have to find your own accomodation. Only those who are seriously interested in going for the Immigration Rally will be given a ride. I will be leaving from Pasadena, CA around 7 pm. Santosh_gc, I don't have a problem when you talk about illegals getting ahead of legals etc. But the comment about illegal immigrants bringing corruption into the U.S. was way out of line. It is unfair that illegal immigrants may get ahead of legal immigrants. Let us leave it at that and not speculate on how they might introduce corruption into society. No discussions on how they break the law when they enter the country - that is a bogus argument. Just about every one of us breaks the law every time he/she gets behind the wheel of a car, unless you claim you always drive the speed limit. By your logic, then every immigrant from India can be disallowed as we are exposed to as much corruption in India as there is in Mexico and we might infect the U.S. culture just as much. Bkam's comments didn't add any value to the discussion and were just offensive.
Keep the argument civil and logical and treat others the way you would like yours to be treated.

Don't confuse between taking legal risk with doing something illegal. You must be an idiot to think they are the same.
Poeple that sold $500K home to those who make $40K were not doing anything illegal. What they were doing was irresponsible. It is the guy that was making $40K, but lied on his application that he was making $80K that is the criminal.
And your assumption is that we are complaining about unethical behavior because we are in the US and we think that everyone in the US is ethical? How stupid are you? Sorry to burst your bubble, but we do not think so. I, and many like me, think we should do the right thing no matter where we are, here, India, or elsewhere.
I can't help but laugh at all these taking moral high ground. They talk like this even after looking at what is happening in so called highly ethical american corporates.
There are rules and people smart enough and daring enough go ahead and push it/bend it as much as possible to achive what interests them most.
As of April 2009, the person who asked the original question and the consultant who asked the question assumed they should be able to land a contract job once October rolls around.
It is a common practice, without going into how it is unfair for the numerous others who have job offers in hand.
Now what would you say to the people who sold houses worth 500,000$ to the people who are making 40K per annum or so? The people who took the risk bear the reward or repercussions.
The person who took a risk by applying for H1 without a client offer, and the consultant would have been rewarded financially if they were able to land a job.
Now that they can't, they have this potential of being illegal stay/out of status or whatever that they have to deal with.
So I suppose, if we can help him with answers to the questions he is seeking and provide any guidance that will help him deal with the results of his decision , as many are doing on thread, that is great. If not, don't have get so preachy/flamey.

Hi,
I filed for my I-140 last month and got a reciept notice. Based on the processing times it looks like it might take atleast 6 months for my I-140 to get approved. My priority date is 07/2004 EB3. In case EB3 dates move this month and my PD becomes current, Can I still file for my I-485 this month even if my I-140 is not approved yet?
FYI,
I cannot file for I-140 premium processing as I have filed for I-140 with a substituted labor.

I think both Attorney and we will get the receipts. By the way it may be too early to ask but can't control it .. any one got FP notice or EAD's?
Some months back two of my friends got EAD,FP Notice immediately.
If your case is at Texas you can dream about it. You will get FP in a month. Last I heard was EAD in 6 weeks. But you never know....:)
